Maintaining a Culture of Legal and Ethical Compliance
As underscored throughout this Ethics Code, our employees’ words and deeds are a representation of who Southland is as an organization. We are stewards of the company, and we lead by exemplifying honesty, professionalism, and integrity. This Ethics Code is a summary of our principles and is provided to set clear guidelines of expected ethical conduct in carrying out the company’s business. However, these written materials cannot cover every single topic or situation that may arise or even list every law and regulation that now applies or may apply to the company in the future.
This is why our Ethics Code fosters an environment and culture of legal and ethical compliance. To that end, we have established clear standards and expectations, and Southland maintains several channels to encourage all employees to report any violations or concerns regarding compliance with any of the policies set forth in this document.
Please note that Southland has a zero-tolerance policy for any serious violation of the standards in this Ethics Code. Notwithstanding, no retaliation or adverse action will be taken against an employee because she or he reports a violation, or suspected violation, of applicable laws, this Ethics Code, or other ethical or personnel-related standard. Any reported violations will be investigated confidentially, thoroughly, and swiftly.
