Restrain from Political Activity

The company supports our employees in their opportunities to perform civic duties and participate in lawful and appropriate political activity. It is Southland’s policy in this regard that no pressure may be placed upon others at the company to fund or join in any political activity. Given the company’s status as a federal contractor, Southland must comply with all regulations governing political contributions in federal elections.

No employee is permitted to use corporate funds to donate to any political action committee, political campaign, or an individual candidate at any time, or to identify individual contributions to any PAC, campaign, or individual as being endorsed by, or affiliated with, Southland. Any agreement to hire a lobbyist or advocacy firm to influence the decision-making of government officials and agencies on Southland’s behalf must be reviewed and approved by the CEO and general counsel.
