Safeguard Southland’s Financial Integrity: Financial/Accounting Controls, Expenses, and Accurate Timekeeping and Record Maintenance
Employees must ensure that the records we create are true and correct. Each of us must properly account for company resources and our time. This means creating and maintaining accurate supplier invoices, expense reports, time sheets, and records related to all company contracts and projects.
The accuracy of the company’s financial data depends on each and every employee accurately recording information, such as the number and allocation of hours worked, and verifying that financial data, budgets, and financial projections are accurate and complete in all respects.
The company only enters into transactions following specific authorizations of our management team following established policies and procedures. Undisclosed activities or improper recording of financial data is a breeding ground for misconduct (and potential liability), while transparency and accurate accounting records reinforce responsibility and promote our duty as stewards of the company and its finances. Southland strictly prohibits any concealed or unrecorded transactions.
All expense reports must be honest, accurate, and complete with proper regard for certifications of accuracy and completeness. Personal or unauthorized use of company funds or any fraudulent conduct involving company funds or financial data is absolutely prohibited.
